Bob is a civil engineer with a background in construction and building maintenance. Before retiring, he was manager of Cleveland County Council’s direct labour organisation. He has a specialised knowledge of contract management and the governance of organisations.

Since retiring he has worked in the community sector, mainly in mental health and working with disadvantaged groups.

Bob is committed to promoting training opportunities within the organisation so that young people can become the very best they can be. He has a particular interest in developing building skills opportunities linked to the Group’s building refurbishment contractors.
